SUMMARY:Stevns Klint Fitness Event / DGI Run
DESCRIPTION:A unique running experience in the tunnels of Stevns Fort, 18 meters below ground! \nNow you have the opportunity to experience Stevns Fort and Stevns Klint up close when we host the Stevns Klint Fitness Event on Sunday, September 28—a fitness event for the whole family.\nA truly special running experience awaits when, together with the Stevns Fort Cold War Museum and Stevns Klint Experience, we open up the tunnels of Stevns Fort and send you on a run along the old front line. \nA spectacular and truly unique experience;\n– Stevns Klint Experience, located in the heart of the Bosedal Limestone Quarry, serves as the starting and finishing point\n– Stevns Fort takes participants back to the Cold War; 60 steps and 18 meters below ground in the tunnels of the old fort\n– The walking trail along Stevns Klint offers the most beautiful panoramic view of the Baltic Sea and the breathtaking cliff\n– Højerup Old Church, dating from 1357, stands proudly on the very edge of the cliff, providing a fantastic view of the cliff and the sea \nWhat else can we say? A WHIFF OF HISTORY AND A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE.  \nWe invite runners and walkers alike\, children and adults\, to participate in this unique event\, where world history\, community\, and exercise come together. \nYou can participate in the following distances:\nChildren’s Run (approx. 2 km)\n5 km Run/Walk (approx.)\n10 km Run/Walk (approx.) \n10 km runners and walkers will set off from Boesdal Limestone Quarry at 10:00 a.m. (time limit: 3 hours).\n5 km runners and walkers will set off from Boesdal Kalkbrud at 12:00 p.m. \nThe routes will be a combination of country roads and hiking trails\, offering ample opportunity to enjoy nature\, the views, and the sights along Stevns Klint.\nThe final routes depend on permits, etc., and will be announced approximately 1 month before the event.\nThe children’s race starts at 11:00 a.m. and takes place on a loop course at Boesdal Limestone Quarry of approximately 2 km.\nParents are welcome to run with their children. \nThe fitness event is organized by Rødvig G&I and DGI Storstrømmen with support from FORT\, Stevns Municipality, and Stevns Klint Experience.
