DESCRIPTION:If you’d like to learn about the fascinating history of the Faxe Limestone Quarry\, join us on a hike through the Kingdom of Limestone. During the hike\, you’ll learn about the quarry from both a natural history and cultural history perspective\, and the guide will share plenty of fun anecdotes related to the Faxe Limestone Quarry. \nThe tour starts at 1:00 p.m. It lasts about 2 hours and covers approximately 2.5 kilometers. \nThe tour is primarily intended for adults. It is not suitable for people with mobility issues. \nWe’ll be taking hiking tours through the Kingdom of Limestone on the following days in 2024:\nSaturday, May 25\nSunday, June 16\nSaturday, August 17\nSunday, September 8 \nPrice for the hike:\nAdults: 145 DKK\nChildren ages 6–17: 50 DKK\nChildren under 6: free.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on a tour as our knowledgeable guide shows you around the exhibition “Denmark’s Fossil Coral Reefs,” and we’ll walk together to the “Prismet” observation deck, where we’ll hear more stories while enjoying the beautiful view of the Faxe Limestone Quarry! During the tour, the guide will share both the geological and cultural-historical stories of the quarry 🌞 \nAfter the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to explore on your own the photo exhibition “A Land of Limestone and Chalk” by local photographer Rudi Hemmingsen—whose images showcase some of the most beautiful aspects of Møns Klint, Stevns Klint, and the Faxe Limestone Quarry. The tour is primarily intended for adults. \nThe tour proceeds at a pace that allows everyone to keep up. There is an elevator to the first floor of Geomuseum Faxe, and the outdoor portion of the tour takes place on level ground. \nThe tour is therefore also suitable for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. \nWe look forward to welcoming you to a wonderful afternoon.
