Our expert guide at the museum will introduce you to the most common fossils in the unique Faxe limestone.
Equipped with a hammer and chisel, we then go down into the quarry and look for your own 63 million-year-old fossils. The guide is available for two hours in total, but you decide how long you want to search.
Fossil hunting tickets also give you access to KALK, where you can explore your finds on the activity tables and explore the past with the exhibition "Denmark's fossil coral reefs".
You can take the fossils home or have them on display at the museum.
Please note that the tour is generally conducted in Danish, but the guide will explain in English if necessary.
Children 0-3 years: 0 kr.
Children 4-17 years: 80 kr.
Adult: 160 kr.
The amount covers guide, hammer and chisel rental and admission to Geomuseum Faxe.
