Guided tour
World Heritage tour in Højerup

Discover the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Højerup
Stand on the edge of Stevns Klint—where the sea, the cliffs, and history meet. One of Denmark’s most dramatic and beautiful nature experiences awaits you on this guided tour at Højerup Gamle Kirke—one of East Zealand’s most unique and overlooked places.
This is the story of a church that, despite legends and superstitions, ultimately had to yield to the forces of the sea when its choir collapsed into the ocean in 1928. A tale of nature’s relentless power—and humanity’s determination to hold on.
The tour takes us from the church down to the lookout point, offering a view of the majestic cliff face, where we get up close to the chalk cliffs and the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The tour ends at Mindelunden, where the guide will introduce the site and stop at two notable figures: the memorials to Absalon and Martin A. Hansen. Afterward, there will be free time to explore the atmospheric grove on your own.
Join us on a hike where nature, culture, and history come together in a truly special place—and discover why Stevns Klint attracts visitors from all over the world.
