Historical City Walk: Learn about the traces of one of Denmark’s busiest industrial and fishing ports.
On the city walking tour, we’ll literally go back in time and hear about Faxe Ladeplads in the late 1800s and early 1900s. We’ll hear about Otto Mortensen and his bust in Mindelunden, the lime barges, the lime trains, the fishermen’s daily lives, eel fishing, the tourists, the bustling shipyard, the lime workers’ housing, and the train station—which was designed by a rather notable architect.
