Parking chaos and queues for coffee were thankfully met with big smiles as Geomuseum Faxe was knocked over by the crowds of visitors on opening day.
860 visitors streamed through the doors to celebrate the season opening of Geomuseum Faxe from 10am to 12pm on the first official day of spring.

- It's absolutely crazy! We almost drowned in our own success, but it's great to see the interest and commitment of so many visitors, and fortunately everyone took the queue with smiles and good humor," says Kasper Renström Østervig, Director of Østsjællands Museum.
400 free annual passes were handed out to visitors during the first 45 minutes, and when the stock was empty, another 457 visitors signed up to pick up annual passes at the Geomuseum later. The annual passes give access to both the terrain at Stevnsfort and the Geomuseum Faxe, where children always have free access.
- It was great to see people's high spirits. There was a lot of praise for the free annual pass initiative, and we especially met families with children and grandparents who wanted to bring their grandchildren to the Geomuseum and now get free admission for the rest of the year," says Kasper Renström Østervig.
The season at Geomuseum Faxe runs until October 31, 2025.
