FORT will be transformed into an active base when more than 30 historic military vehicles and around 60 enthusiasts from across the country move in and set up camp at the museum on the weekend of August 16-17.
The Danish Military Historical Vehicle Association (DMKF), the Gardehusarregimentets Veteran Armor and Vehicle Association (GHRVPK) and the Hawk Veterans are joining forces with vehicles, equipment and stories from the Cold War and beyond. This is the 15th year in a row that the military vehicles gather above the old fort and bring history to life.
The camp is open to the public during the museum's opening hours, which are 10-17. Here you can get up close to the impressive machines, see the accommodation and talk to the participants about the vehicles.
Vehicle presentation and public driving
On Saturday, August 16 from 12:30-13:30, there will be a large vehicle presentation in the arena with a speaker, and afterwards guests can take a ride in selected military vehicles.
On Sunday, August 17 from 10:00-12:30, you can once again take a public ride in several of the participating vehicles.
Both days are followed by demonstrations of the iconic HAWK equipment.
The event is included in the regular FORT entrance fee of DKK 95 and is free for children.
