Season Opening at FORT and KALK: Get Your Free Season Pass

Museums of East Zealand invite you to a festive morning and will be giving away free season passes to everyone who attends when the FORT and KALK museums open their doors for the 2026 season.

FORT and KALK are celebrating the start of the season on Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and invite you to a festive morning in this historic setting. The museums are repeating last year’s success by handing out free season passes to everyone who attends and offering coffee and cake, as well as juice and candy for the children.

New Benefits of the 2026 Season Pass
This year, the season pass is becoming even more attractive. As a new feature, the pass now offers a 20 percent discount on guided tours at FORT and fossil hunts at Faxe Kalkbrud. The discount applies to both the passholder and one guest. These new benefits are intended to attract more local visitors to the museums.

“At last year’s opening, many local visitors attended and purchased season passes. We’re really pleased about that, which is why we’re now expanding the benefits of the season pass and hope to see even more local visitors at the museums’ various guided tours,” says Mads Damsbo, director of Østsjællands Museer.

The season pass is personal and provides the passholder with free admission to both museums throughout the season, a 50 percent discount on admission for a companion, and a 10 percent discount in the museum shops.

Season pass distribution was in full swing and the atmosphere was great at FORT during the 2025 season opener.

Season passes for both children and adults
Everyone is welcome to a cozy and festive morning as we kick off spring with wonderful experiences and a sense of community at the museums. The museums are also introducing season passes for children, which offer the same benefits as the adult pass. This year, additional season passes have been ordered following the high demand in 2025, so there are enough for everyone—but please note that they will only be distributed from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Museums of East Zealand look forward to welcoming both new and returning visitors to a new season.

The events at FORT and KALK will take place at the same time, on March 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
