Among other things, you’ll hear about the old church in Højerup, which lost its choir during a major cliff collapse on March 16, 1928, and about how chalkstone was quarried from the cliff in the old days. From the church, the tour continues to Mindelunden, where Lise will talk about some of the famous figures from Danish history who are commemorated here.
Among other things, you’ll hear about the linguist Peder Syv and the pastor Christian Richard, who wrote “Altid frejdig, når du går.”

Lise Søelund holds a Master of Arts degree in philosophy and the history of ideas, and has written books about Stevns, including *Pen, Brush, and Brushstrokes: Philosophical, Biographical, and Mystical Elements from Stevns* and *Outlook, Insight, and Overview: A Guide to Mindelunden in Højerup on Stevns*.
