Guided tour
Secrets of the fort

Explore 1.7 km of tunnels beneath Stevns Klint
Our most popular guided tour—and it’s easy to see why. Descend 18 meters below ground and explore Stevnsfort’s 1.7-kilometer-long network of tunnels, which, as part of Stevns Klint, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An experience for both adults and families; recommended for children ages 12 and up.
Stevnsfort is one of Denmark’s most fascinating Cold War museums and served as the guardian of the Baltic Sea during the Cold War—designed to protect Denmark and NATO against a potential invasion by the Warsaw Pact. Here, you can feel history firsthand, deep beneath the cliff.
Our knowledgeable guides bring to life the grand narratives of security policy, turbulent times, and the people behind the walls—rooted in the fort’s authentic buildings, equipment, and history. It’s living history that leaves a lasting impression.
Your ticket also gives you access to the entire fortress grounds for the rest of the day during the museum’s opening hours—pack a picnic and enjoy lunch outdoors with a view of the World Heritage Site. There are plenty of tables and benches.
We recommend that you reserve your spot well in advance—the tours tend to sell out! The underground fortress can only be explored on a guided tour.
